ewoud van eetvelde is an electroacoustic composer, installation artist and professional guitarist based in Brussels. With a focus on the connection of sound, space and the body, his practice spans across developing instruments, performing and composing music and poetry, working in his multi-speaker studio and engaging in transdisciplinary collaborations including theater and VR.

ewoud is the leader of the electroacoustic jazz trio Zap Zaltan and he performs narrated solo concerts with his multi-speaker audiovisual installations under the moniker de Dromentuin. He graduated as a Nordic jazz Master on guitar in Helsinki, Stockholm and Aarhus, Master in Music Education and is founder of Studio Zaltan as a platform for his diverse artistic research. He was a resident in PAS (Petersburg Art Institute) Berlin, NOTAM (Norwegian Centre for Technology, Art and Music) Oslo and Werkplaats Walter Brussels.
Together with MUS-E, Ewoud collaborates with schools and children in the Belgian capital to make and present audiovisual work.

Currently he is under the mentorship of Annette Vande Gorne for acousmatic music composition. His compositions were selected by the electroacoustic Boem festival 2025 in Ghent and for Paysages Composés 2025 in Grenoble.
